Founded in 2000, The Zebra Partnership is headed by Carol Ann a Royal Society of Arts Fellow, Heritage Trustee for the Portico Library and Newsroom, Chartered Management Institute Comapnion and Deputy Chair of the CMI Womens Board, an advocate of women’s rights, equality, diversity and inclusion.

The Zebra Partnership, is a boutique agency that brings together talented freelancers in the fields of publishing (books, comics, graphic novels) , editorial services, campaigns, communications and event management on a project by project basis across all sectors. A flexible team that can white label, co-produce or work under their own brand.

Carol Ann is a communications expert that has had over twenty years publishing, promotions and organising events of all shapes and sizes from 8 to 8000, indoors and outdoors, here in the U.K. and overseas, plus experience of developing and organising five royal visits since 2004.

Recipient of the Inclusive Companies Certificate of Excellence, Carol Ann is winner of Entrepreneur Jacqueline Golds #WOW Award, #QueenOf Engaging Events award, in addition to Regional and National Winner of the Forward Ladies Mentor of the Year 2019, WeAreTheCity Rising Star award Champion 2020 and on the Northern Powerwomen Power List 2020

The publishing arm of the business, is managed by co-founder and games veteran writer Dan Whitehead FRSA a voting member of BAFTA with over 20 books, graphic novels and comics under their belt. Carol Ann, an award winning publisher from the European Publishing Institute, provides PR and marketing support. Zebra Comics is a popular brand extension.

A Wiki Editor she is co-founder of the Ada Lovelace Day Zebra Global Wikieditathon, a quest to improve wiki diversity their base is at the Pankhurst Centre.

She is also a 50:50 Parliament Trustee and represented them at the National Diversity Awards 2022 supported by ITV News

BBC Make a Difference Awards 2022 judge

Lecturer since 2014 Manchester Metropolitan University, Access Creative College School of Events and guest lecturer at The University of Manchester.

Founding member of BURN (The Black United Representation Network) which is actively tackling persistent racial inequalities in Greater Manchester through economic empowerment of communities and businesses.

An Action Partner of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG),

Championing gender equality and improving inequality sdg5 and sdg10. Plus sdg17 Partnership working. Carol Ann has delivered a lecture at the UN Youth Association in Denmark, participant of the Global Festival of Action in Bonn, Germany and has been awarded the honor of Global Goodwill Ambassador.
